Proverbs 6:23 “For the commandment is a lamp, and the law a light; reproofs of instruction are the way of life.”

We’ve been learning a lot this week about how serious it is that we all keep God’s commandments. We know that many Christians today completely ignore God’s Word, and are not believers at all, but merely accept the parts of the Word that are conducive to their lifestyle. If it makes them uncomfortable, then it clearly does not apply. In essence, they are their own god, or whatever is keeping them from obedience is their god.

God’s Word is not a warm, fuzzy, inspirational set of quotes from the self help section that we can photoshop onto nature images and stick on our desktop backgrounds to lift our moods on a rainy day. The Bible is alive!

Hebrew 4:12 “For the Word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

Psalm 119 is all about loving God’s Word, asking God to help us keep His commandments, and that the Word is the way to life!

Is there anything in your life that is keeping you from spending adequate time reading God’s Word?

Psalm 119:47 “And I will delight myself in Your commandments, which I love.”

Love God’s Word. It is alive!

Saturday morning…

Where did the time go. Friday was a blur of activity with meeting, speakers, and divine appointments.

Many things are coming together to amount to a very real and tangible sense of just how things should shake out over the year. The consensus is this:

1. the economy is not going to do anything but get really worse

2. our currency is going to continue to devalue at a rate faster than we think

3. G-ds people are becoming tuned in to the things that will sustain us to the end

4. G-d is equiping His people for mighty things

As I listen to the speakers and hear their heart for the things of God, I am encouraged that the Kingdom will manifest itself EXACTLY how He wants it.

My only concern, a nagging irritation really, is the lack of a tangible understanding of the original language. I can’t tell you how many times, as I sit in these meetings, I hear the blatant miss quoting of scripture to fit whatever it is they are wanting to say.

Now, the point to what is being said is a valid, justifiable and rhema word for today, but do the ends justify the means? Do we have the right to take scripture just on the edge of context to get the message out? My gut says no, but what about the proofs.

People are getting saved, words of knowledge are given, work is given, vision defined… how do you argue with that, the Spirit is moving – tangibly.

I am reminded of the soils. Do we as “the new Kings & Priests” of G-d have the depth of soil we need to be in tune with the Ruach HaKodesh when we need to have it? G-d I hope so…

So on fire, just imagine if the understanding of language was there.

G-d, give us a hunger and thirst for you Words, the real ones.

____________________________

On another note:

Is the modern definition of “extreme” really extreme? Is any movement really extreme if the entire geo/political/religious systems that are moving in concert to one side of the proverbial room and those that rely on commonsense and/or moderation are then left on the new extremity of that move, thus by definition are they creating the new “extreme”?

Let us suppose that this were a reality. Then the “extremists” in the above commercial are those that question the premise. Just like conservatives (our right) question the need for radical social/governmental mandate governing the modern environmental movement of the progressives (our left) while all the time in other countries the titles Left and Right are reversed…

With the constant “Europisation” of the USA continues, these lines are being confused. A confused society will default to the consensus. The consensus is created by those who have the most influence in the society. The ones with whom we give influence to are those whom we pay to be that influence. Our forms of payment are time and energy.

who do you spend time serving?

who get the energy you use?

In reality we have this:

a one world system of global governance is inevitable

a vast majority of so called “Christians” will reject this system

Who is now the extremist?

At what point is this commercial a reflection of the common reality in the lives of the average person?

On what premise do you or I stand on? Does this make you an extremist?

If we as followers of Yeshua stand on His word, then let us stand in the face of society and be who we are:

stones that make men stumble

rocks that make them fall

and when they stumble and fall, be there with them to raise them up into the Kingdom and introduce them to Yeshua and their ultimate freedom.

G-d has created a system that will survive the coming destruction. He created a way to prosper His children. It requires His children to follow the rules He established at the throwing down of the world system. It is not our opinions that cause us to be holy or not, not our personal conviction on what is for today or not.

It is only G-ds definition for what is for today and has been since the begining. It is very clearly spelled out in Scripture in the original. No mincing of words, no blurring of meaning.

We can say, “Put Christ in Christmas!!!”. Ok, great, show me the scripture you are standing on to make that extreme statement and I will stand with you.

How about “Celebrating the resurrection on Easter!!”, again, word equals stand.

Pick you favorite Christian Holy Day or eschatology, give me clear unadulterated scripture in the original language and I will consider it.

This is something that we as brothers and sisters in Yeshua and children of the Almighty YHVH must come into agreement on or we will perish as a whole.

The only way that we as this body can do that is to believe what is there in black and white in the origina and do it. No questions asked, just believing in YHVH.

Dear Talmidi,

In the final hours preceding the new year, a thought:

We are about to be steeped in prayers and shofars, apples and honey, festively-set tables and each other.

But the drama of Rosh Hashanah unfolds on a different plane:

A new reality — a spiritual reality never before revealed — emerges to sustain the ek-klesia, elicited by our prayers, the piercing call of the shofar, our submission to Torah, consecration to YHVH, and the following of Messiah. Qualitatively, it is greater than the reality of any previous year, and it causes the entire world to become new.

Though we cannot physically see this profound renewal, its effects are very real. Every thought, every word, every action, every deed, every thing becomes integral to the manifestation of the this Spirit in our lives. People of the klesia will mock and taunt and call us evil and the kosmo krateros will be indifferent and uncaring. Do not be excited for the evil times but excited in what our Messiah is doing.

These are the times of great anointing!

These are the times that we, the Bride of Yeshua, are practicing how to walk in His revelation. By focusing on the realities intertwined in the Feast, the Fathers mo’edeem, and the schematic of Yeshua’s playbook, life becomes…. real.

Suddenly, an unprecedented range of possibilities opens up for us. We can achieve things we couldn’t — or wouldn’t, or just didn’t, or won’t — do before, things that seemed out of our reach.

In our personal lives this includes growing in Messiah and His Torah in new, unprecedented ways and in our fellowship; covenant and community.

Blessings in the name of our Elohim YHVH and our Adon Yeshua, the Messiah.

The Sabbath reminds us that God created the world.

The Sabbath reminds us that God delivered Israel from bondage in Egypt.

The Sabbath reminds us that Christ delivered us from the penalty of sin at Calvary.

The Sabbath reminds us that God will make us holy, just as He made the Sabbath holy.

Looking forward to the sabbath every week, on a practical note, causes us to order our lives to make that happen. Things need to be done ahead of time, we do and keep the Sabbath intentionally. If we let the Sabbath come on us unaware, and unprepared, it reminds us painfully, of what will happen if the day of the Lord (entrance to the millennial Sabbath) comes upon us unaware, and unprepared…

Has Sunday Replaced the Sabbath in the New Covenant? Revelation 1:10: “I was in the spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great voice as of a trumpet”…

“Wrong interpretation—The term”Lord’s day” refers to Sunday (and Sunday worship)

Proper explanation—The phrases “Lord’s day” and “day of the Lord” refer specifically to the day of Yehshua’s return at the final trumpet sound announcing His Second Coming. Nowhere in the Bible is there any reference to Sunday in connection with these phrases. The only passage in the Bible where the specific term “Lord’s day” is found is here in Revelation 1:10, where it defines the day of Yehshua’s return at the trumpet sound and the awesome events that surround it.

Strong’s Concordance lists 20 passages containing the words “day of the Lord” -each instance speaks of the Second Coming of Yehshua. -the exact opposite of a day of quiet, enjoyable, Sunday at Church!

Have you heard this passage used to discourage the keeping of the 7th day Sabbath?

Romans 14:5: “One man esteems one day above another: another esteems
every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.”

Wrong interpretation***Whether to keep any day as a Sabbath is up to each individual.

Proper explanation—A good example of taking a passage out of context is this verse. Paul is not speaking about the Sabbath at all but about fasting. The ot…her subject of the chapter is vegetarianism (see verses 2-3). He writes, “For one believes that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eats herbs.” Then in verse 3 Paul admonishes that eating or not eating is up to the individual. The Bible in Basic English translates verse 3 this way: “Let not him who takes food have a low opinion of him who does not: and let not him who does not take food be a judge of him who does; for he has [Elohim's] approval.”

The issue of keeping a Sabbath of rest does not even enter into this passage. What is being discussed in verse 5 is the practice of some who choose one day over another to fast. The next verse (6) shows that some people placed one day over another in their devotion to fasting. (“He that eats, eats to YaHoVaH, for He gives YaHoVaH thanks.”) The problem was, some in the Assembly at Rome were being judged for doing so. Paul entreats us not to judge one another regarding eating or not eating

Exd 31:16,17 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.

It is a sign between me and
…the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven
and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.

keep/shamar= keep watch guard the Sabbath
observe/asah = do the Sabbath
perpetual/owlam= antiquity, futurity, for ever, ever, everlasting, evermore, perpetual, old, ancient, the universe and all time.
sign/owth = sign, signal, a distinguishing… mark
forever/ see perpetual.
rested/shabath = to cease, desist, restSee More

For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition [between us];

we are no longer separated from Israel. Jesus has made us one!

Romans 11 explains that believers were grafted into the olive tree that is Israel.
verse 17 And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and with them became a partaker of the root and fatness of the olive tree,
